Welcome, I’m glad you’re here
Taking the first step toward therapy can feel daunting, but you don’t have to navigate life's challenges alone. I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor in private practice in New York City and here to help.
For nearly three decades my work has taken many forms—from deep clinical therapy in the office, to using my clinical skills as a camper and staff care advisor and instructor, to teaching and speaking in our communities. When my own daughters were young, I intentionally stepped away from full-time clinical hours to focus on my family, while continuing to consult, teach, and speak.
Living through those non-linear seasons didn't just shape my career; it shaped me as a person. I understand adolescent development and family transitions not only from textbooks, but also from decades of professional practice and real, lived experience. Today, whether working with young people, parents or adult women, my approach remains collaborative, active, and highly practical. I will partner with you to build effective coping skills and communication strategies that you can start using the moment you leave my office.
How I Work
Every person brings a unique story into the room. While my practice is wide open to anyone seeking meaningful change, I specialize in two core areas:
Tweens, Teens & Parents: The shift into the adolescent years can feel incredibly destabilizing for the whole family. I work one-on-one with young people to help them decode intense emotions, manage anxiety and build concrete coping tools. Simultaneously, I partner directly with parents - helping you understand what is typical development and what is of concern - then giving you the tangible strategies and insight you need to support your child while transitioning your home dynamic into one of mutual respect.
Adult Women’s Wellness: Life in the city moves fast, and navigating complex life issues and transitions can leave you feeling depleted. I provide a dedicated space for women working through anxiety, depression, disordered eating, grief, self-image struggles, and relationship fractures. Together, we will work to untangle old patterns, gain internal clarity, and build the confidence to make lasting change.
A Values-Centered Approach
I view therapy as a collaborative space where your personal values are central to our work.. For clients who desire it, I am highly experienced in providing faith-informed, Christian-based counseling that integrates spiritual wellness with evidence-based psychological tools. Ultimately, my goal is always to meet you exactly where you are, respecting and honoring whatever worldview, background, or belief system you hold.
Beyond the Counseling Room
Beyond my clinical practice, I am an active speaker and educator. I enjoy regularly giving presentations and workshops for schools, community organizations, women’s groups and summer programs. Topics include adolescent emotional regulation and parenting through those years as well as a host of topics on women’s wellness.
